The program will be at Sons of Norway, 317 South Page Street, Stoughton, on
Wednesday, September 9, at 7:00 PM.
Discover the turbulent 1850s as depicted in Kathleen’s three Hanneke Bauer Mysteries. This richly illustrated program provides a tour of Hanneke’s world: Wisconsin's Pomeranian community near Watertown. Often over-shadowed by the American Civil War, this period was marked by conflicts arising from anti-immigrant sentiments, slavery and abolition beliefs, and the trials inherent in making a new home in a new place.
This program will also provide a peek at the 12 th Chloe Ellefson mystery. Books will be available for sale (cash or check only).
Kathleen Ernst is a social historian, educator, and bestselling author. Kathleen’s forty-plus published books encompass mysteries, historical fiction,
poetry, and non-fiction. A Most Perilous Journey is the most recent book in the Hanneke Bauer historical mystery series about a newly-arrived German immigrant. The Chloe Ellefson Mysteries feature a museum curator whose knowledge of the past helps solve contemporary crimes.
Refreshments will be served! Everyone is welcome and no reservations are needed!

Mandt Lodge is handicapped accessible with a lift located on the south side of the building. There is parking on the street, public parking lot behind the Stoughton Senior Center, or in the Livsreise parking lot if their building is closed.
