Our August 11, 2025, our cultural program will feature member Mark Bjorgo and the 200th Anniversary of the first organized Norwegian emigration to North America.
On July 4, 1825, a group of 52 Norwegians set sail from Starvanger Norway on the ship Restauration to make the first organized migration from Norway to North America. Who were these people? What caused them to seek a new life?
