Lois Mueller VGM, Instructor
June 6 – 8, 2025

If you are wondering why the class is in June, blame it on the NFL draft. That event is at the end of April when we usually have this class.
The draft makes for a lot of traffic and takes away a lot of hotel rooms and raises the prices for the rest of us.

2111 Marathon Ave., Neenah, WI
920-886-6000 (police station #)
608-778-0217 (Instructors cell #)

Cost: $110

(Includes instructions, designs, photos, acrylic paint to be used in the class for backgrounding and painting your design. If you are an oil painter, please bring your own supplies. Since I was originally an oil painter, painters who use oils are welcome.) For those who will not be using my acrylics, please bring you favorite colors and mediums for oils.)

We are going to do something just a little different in this class. There will be no specific piece for everyone. If you are working on a piece and want to finish it, bring it. If you want to bring a piece that you just want to paint...bring it. If you need a piece, there will be plates available to purchase at the class. There will be designs available to select from that you may use for painting your project. We can also discuss and practice a variety of borders to make you piece unique.

Lois Mueller, VGM, will be the instructor as in the past. Most of you already know me, but for the rest of you, I have been painting since 1977 and teaching at the Tech School in Appleton and Neenah from 1979 – 1988. In 1988, we moved to Ashland, WI and I was lucky enough to be able to teach at Northland Collage and met some terrific people. After we left Ashland for Platteville (1994), one of my students began to teach in that area. While in Ashland, I began travel teaching which is a wonderful experience since you can meet so many people that are interested in this art form. I have
taught at Vesterheim plus many other locations from coast to coast in the US, + Canada and Taiwan.

This year I have been invited to teach in Salt Lake City. I have taught there before and it was a delightful experience. In 1998, I received a Gold Medal from Vesterheim. About 1999, I was approached by a publisher and was asked to write some books. She published 8 instruction books
followed by one more by Viking Woodcraft's. As you can see, rosemaling has led me in many directions I that never thought possible. And this year I'll be coming to Neenah, again. Ya Hui!
