Details:
Sons of Norway- Mandt Lodge welcomes the public to a free moving night watching The Stavig Letters movie.

The movie will be shown on Wednesday, February 9, at 7 PM, at 317 South Page Street in Stoughton.

For more than fifty years, two brothers, one who homesteaded in Dakota Territory and one who remained a fisherman in Norway, exchanged hundreds of letters. The Stavig Letters tells the story of immigration through historic photos and videos from the fjords of Norway to the Dakota Prairie. This project was funded in part by a grant from the South Dakota Humanities Council and won a regional Emmy award.
There is no charge for the movie and the public is welcome!

Mandt Lodge will also have the District 5 Viking Trunk on display at this meeting.
The trunk has an array of items donated by lodges around District 5 and a short description of each item.

Please contact Darlene Arneson at arnesonfamily5@gmail.com or 608-873-7209 for more information.
